Comment Policy

Welcome to Pralekha! We welcome your respectful comments and feedback. At the same time, we want to make sure that our readers are saved from abusive, irritating, and spam comments. Hence, we reserve the right to delete comments and ban users as required, to keep the comment boards here civil and meaningful.

Here are a few Do's and Don'ts :
Here's a little list of what to do (Do's) and what not to do (Don'ts) on our comment boards. It's not an exhaustive list, but you get the drift, right?

Do's

• Find an article useful or interesting? Share your feedback, tips, or any other relevant information.
• It's okay to give useful and constructive criticism. Spot a typo, or an error? Let us know and we will correct it.
• Share your wisdom, ideas, tips, perspectives or anything else relevant to the post you're commenting on.
• Appreciate an article or a post? Let us know!

Don'ts

• Feeding the trolls. If you don't agree with something, or find something offensive, don't engage in a battle of words. Just Flag such comments.
• Promoting your own brand, product, or blog. The comments area is not for promotions. If you are interested in advertising on this site, then contact us.
• Impersonating other people. Only weird people do that. Don't be one of them!
• Making ill-informed and misleading comments. These don't help anyone.
• Comments that are irrelevant and off-topic. Hey, this isn't a chat-room! Stay on topic of the article you're commenting on. Too many off-topic comments won't help readers looking for something useful.
• Threats and abuses against anyone. Definitely not allowed.
• Trolling. This one's simple. Don't be a troll.

Some instances where comments will be edited or deleted are as follows:

• Comments deemed to be spam or solely promotional in nature will be deleted. Including a link to relevant content is permitted, but comments should be relevant to the post topic.
• Comments including profanity will be deleted.
• Comments containing language or concepts that could be deemed offensive will be deleted. Note this may include abusive, threatening, pornographic, offensive, misleading or libelous language.
• Comments that attack an individual directly will be deleted.
• Comments that harass other posters will be deleted. Please be respectful toward other contributors.
• Anonymous comments will be deleted. We only accept comment from posters who identify themselves.
• Any user that violates the comment policies will be banned from commenting. In addition to the above, any user with a Username that violates our comment policies and guidelines will also be banned.

We reserve the right to edit or delete any comments submitted on this website without notice. This comment policy is subject to change at any time.
